Day one of India Diamond & ColourStone Show (IDCS) ended in an upbeat and expectant note.
Speaking about the show, Kamal Kothari from Lotus Gem Impex, Jaipur and the treasurer of the Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS said, “IDCS was good initiative by the council and it is the perfect platform for buying loose diamonds and colored stones.”
“This is the only show in the country dedicated to exclusively this kind of merchandise. The show will grow bigger and better with time,” he added
Speaking about his expectations, Pranav R Mehta, Senior Sales Manager, Diamond, Dimexon said, “We hope to get sales and new customers. We also hope to get some orders and not just enquiries.”
The Rosy Blue stall was witness to a fair amount of activity thanks to their new initiative, 'Rosy Blue Online'. The website allows clients to browse, select and order certified stones from 25 pointers onwards. The company is also holding a 'Click for Carat Contest' for Rosy Blue customers the prize for which is a 0.5 carat D color IF clarity diamond. Although out of 1500 visitors expected at the show very few were seen on the floor at the closing of the first day. More are expected tomorrow as they fly in for the IIJS. Overall the entire mood was expectant as this is the first edition of the show. No one, be it the visitors or exhibitors are denying that the show has great potential in the future.
